Online Fraud Protection
Online fraud is
a large and growing problem. Many come to the Internet thinking they can
make big bucks doing absolutely nothing. Be warned that this is far from
the truth. Unscrupulous individuals take advantage of this concept and try
to cheat you by using these “pie in the sky” conceptions. Beware of:
- “Make 1000s of dollars a week simply doing
nothing” or “See how this man went from $0-$20,000 a week in just 7
short days” This just is not possible even with a best seller. This
probably indicates online fraud
- “We will give you valuable information just
for $5 with full resale rights” Now this is obviously just a ploy to get
you to sell something that is probably not fit to be called a product.
You are buying to resell something that may or may not have any value.
- “and just as a thank you we will throw in all
these e-books worth 1000’s” These are usually a bunch of free e-books
that can be picked up anywhere on the web for free.
- The website: if the site looks unprofessional it
is wise not to join. It is very likely going to be a poorly run business
if not an outright fraud
- Using a free web host can be
a warning sign.
- Whole pages of useless hype and no real
information about the opportunity, looks more than a little fishy.
- Gushing Testimonials are probably false. This
indicates a less than above board operation, and is likely an online fraud.
- Contact information if you do not see or find it
easily then someone is trying to hide and you should stay away from this
type of opportunity.
The rule of thumb to keep you safe from online fraud is to know if it sounds
too good it probably is. Be careful of all these prelaunches and
opportunities surrounded by a lot of hoopla it is easy to be caught by
these unscrupulous businesses and you can end up losing a lot of money. Do
your research and don’t rush into something you may regret and you will
save yourself a lot of time and money.
